Willow is the Sweetest Girl!
Can there be any doubt about that? She loves to snuggle, and her greetings are the best. She wags her whole body and brings a toy–it could be her pink grunty rhino, or her lamb, or the old standby, her teddy bear (aka, her baby). After leaning against you (while wagging furiously–brace yourself!) and maybe trying to go through your legs, she will settle down and sit on your feet. Like I said, the sweetest girl. Ever.
And She is Beautiful!
From the time she was a wee thing, Willow’s loveliness was obvious. She has a beautiful head and sweet expression, good bone and balance, and terrific structure–and she can move!
And as it turns out, she also absolutely loves to show. She won Best of Breed at our club’s fun match when she was just four months old, and in her first show at 7 months she was Winners Bitch. At her second show weekend a month later she earned her first major. We stepped back at that point to let her grow up a bit, but then the following spring she won her sweeps and breed classes, as well as Best in Futurity, at our national specialty.
Since then she has had many breed wins and group placements, won an award of merit at our national in 2017, and an award of merit at Westminster in 2019. She finished 2018 ranked in the top twenty BMDs with limited showing, and is now an AKC Silver Grand Champion. She also is a Canadian Champion, and won Winners Bitch at the Canadian national specialty in 2018! She’s a rockstar, our Willow!

Not Just a Pretty Face
Willow is also a fantastic working dog! She pulls a cart, does agility and obedience, and she has an awesome nose, both for scentwork and tracking. Here’s a fun track she did last spring.
